On Earth Day, a Free Orchestral Performance at the Winter Garden

On Saturday, April 22, the Knickerbocker Chamber Orchestra is coming to the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey St.). to perform “Music of Our Sphere,” a free concert to raise awareness about environmental protections. Described as a “celebration of beauty of nature and a meditation on the spiritual and literal issues we face with our continued existence,” the classical music is set on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and includes the debut of Knickerbocker founder Gary S. Fagin’s sonata “In Every Grain of Sand.”

The performance is scheduled for 7 p.m.
