Global Positioning System Technology
In an effort to make the Downtown Connection® service even more useful, we have added global positioning system technology (GPS) to each shuttle bus. With this new technology in place, you can track in real time the exact position of Downtown Connection® shuttle, right here on the Web site. To view this map, click here. The Downtown Connection® runs from 10am to 8pm. If you do not see buses on the map, it is most likely because there are no buses running at that time.
SERVICE ADVISORIES
-- The Seaport bound Downtown Connection bus stop at River Terrace between Park Place West and Murray Street will move back to its
original location (now that construction in that area has been completed) at North End Avenue and Murray Street starting on Monday August 25, 2008. The Chambers Street-bound stop at North End Avenue and Murray Street is not affected and will remain at its current location.
-- Due to construction on Vesey Street between West Street and North End Avenue, the bus stop on the north curb of Vesey St. has been temporarily moved about 50 feet west towards North End Avenue. This relocation will enable Chambers Street-bound passengers to see approaching buses from the stop without interference from construction fences.
-- The bus stop located at Bowling Green heading north has been temporarily moved towards West Street located at the beginning of the construction barricade.
-- The bus stop on Battery Place, corner of West Street (that was removed due to construction) has been restored, and is now located on Battery Place, corner of Washington Street, in front of the Amish Market. We thank you for your patience.
Please note that South Street Seaport bound service is not effected. Riders are advised to use either of the following existing bus stops:
- The West Street Stop (In front of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel)
- The Bowling Green Stop (In front of the Museum of the American Indian)
