Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition is back with another FREE three-episode series!

Support local restaurants from the comfort of your home through the Dine Around Downtown: Cooking At Home Edition web series.

Hosted by James Beard Award-winning chef and author Rocco DiSpirito, the series features chefs from Lower Manhattan restaurants to cook up signature recipes and share tips for crafting everything from complex gastronomic delights to go-to comfort foods.

The series is FREE, and all donations go directly to a food-security charity of the restaurant’s choice or the restaurant’s employee relief fund. And if your inner chef is calling you, whip up your best version of a featured recipe and post a picture of your plate via Instagram with #DineAroundAtHome and tag @DowntownNYC to enter to win a 30-minute private virtual cooking class with the chef!

Executive Chef Roberto CaporuscioRoberto Caporuscio was born and raised on a dairy farm in Pontinia, Italy, where he first developed his culinary skills producing and selling cheese. It was, however, in Napoli, the birthplace of pizza, where he studied the art of Neapolitan piemaking with talented pizza masters, such as Antonio Starita. He then established two successful pizzerias in Pittsburgh, followed by A Mano in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and, in 2009, opened Manhattan’s Kesté Pizza & Vino on Bleecker Street and, in 2012, Don Antonio in Midtown. Roberto has become one of the most highly praised pizza chefs among his peers and in the media, critically acclaimed as “#1 Pizza in New York” by New York Magazine, “Best Pizza” in New York State by Food Network Magazine and among the top 25 “Best Pizza Places in the US” by Food and Wine.

Executive Chef Noah Poses – A Philadelphia native, Noah Poses grew up in his father’s restaurant business. With a degree in International Business from George Washington University and no formal culinary training, Noah began “volunteering” in the kitchen of Morimoto, eventually getting hired as a line cook. The valuable experience led him to The Mildred as Chef de Cuisine, then he worked his way to Executive Sous Chef at The Modern and onto Executive Chef at The Watergate Hotel. In May 2019, alongside Chef Jean-Georges, Noah opened The Fulton, where he has been serving some of New York’s finest seafood.
