DESCRIPTION:Immersive 3-hour workshop where you will work together with the designers at Bowne & Co. to produce your own custom set of stationery — from start to finish. In this program\, you get to set type from the Museum’s working collection\, mix ink\, cut paper\, and print a bespoke edition of 35 notecards using a 19th century printing press. Great for all skill levels\, the workshop will engage you in every part of the printing process. Advanced registration is required. Ages 12 and up. All supplies are included.

Come relax\, observe\, and explore nature through the lens of pol­li­na­tors — and con­tribute to sci­en­tif­ic research in the process! Par­tic­i­pants are invit­ed to down­load the iNat­u­ral­ist app in advance of this event to par­tic­i­pate in impact­ful com­mu­ni­ty sci­ence activ­i­ty. Dur­ing the walk\, you will pho­to­graph pol­li­na­tors and upload them to The Bee Con­ser­van­cy’s ​“A Bee or Not a Bee?” iNat­u­ral­ist project\, col­lab­o­rat­ing with nat­u­ral­ists around the world to deter­mine whether the insect buzzing by is a bee\, wasp\, fly\, or oth­er com­mon bee doppelgänger.
