Celebrate 15 years of Earth Matter at their anniversary party! Held at LMCC’s Arts Center at Governors Island, this celebration will feature live music from Chico Alverez and Mafimba, lots of dancing, a participatory re-use auction, special food and drink, and more fun.
The Moth Community StorySLAM is a noncompetitive, open-mic storytelling event in which anyone can share a 5 min story on the night’s theme. Entry is free – come to enjoy the show or for the chance to put your name in the hat to tell a true, personal story, live without notes!
Join in on the fun featuring easy-to-follow Latin dance choreography while working on your balance, coordination and range of motion. Come prepared for enthusiastic instruction, a little strength training and a lot of fun. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment: weights, water bottle, hand towel etc. Proof of vaccination required.
Children ages 6-10 are invited to play in pop-up clinics on select days off from school this fall. Join BPC coaches for soccer skills session ending in a scrimmage open to all levels. Registration recommended.
