The Cortlandt Street station on the R and W lines, which was closed for one year after the 9/11 attack and then shut again in August 2005 to accommodate construction of the Fulton Street transit complex in Lower Manhattan, was partly reopened on Wednesday.

New pub in the Financial District. The owners of a popular East Village spot, Molly’s Pub, are planning to open a Financial District gastro-pub at 110 John Street between Pearl and Gold streets. Also in the Financial District, the Blarney Stone pub at 121 Fulton Street between Dutch and Nassau streets has reopened after a three-week hiatus.
