Dedicated to the millions who perished during the potato famine in Ireland between 1845 and 1852, the memorial also serves to raise awareness of current world hunger issues. This uniquely landscaped 1/4 acre plot utilizes stones, soil and native plantings brought in from Ireland and holds a recreated 19th century Irish cottage.
