The Real World, by Tom Otterness

Tom Otterness's small animals and figures cast in bronze create a playful environment to explore at Battery Park. Made up of several small figures interacting in unexpected ways around the playground and esplanade, “The Real World” depicts dogs, cats, birds, monkeys and humans in miniature scenes that are both cheerful and mischievous. The piece was installed in 1992.
