Hankering for some ripe apples, artichokes, or asparagus?

Fresh produce abounds at greenmarkets in Lower Manhattan. After much success this summer, the Water Street Greenmarket will continue until November 20th.  Located at Water Street and Coenties Slip, the market will take place Thursdays from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

You’ll find a wide selection of fresh, local vegetables, orchard fruit, breads and pastries, honey, hard cider and wine.  Then check out the free recipes and taste samples at the weekly cooking demos that take place in the manager’s tent.

Feel confident in knowing that everything sold at the market is 100% farmer-grown, produced, caught or foraged.  Supporting your local farmers is not only good for the environment – it’s good for your health, too.  So go ahead and head over to Water Street to try a treat at this tasty new addition to the neighborhood.
