Snowbusters Dig In To Dig Out LM

Snow 1

This week the Alliance for Downtown New York readied our snow removal equipment and sanitation staff in preparation of the impending snow storm. Ready to address the snow and ice conditions in the Lower Manhattan Area, our staff of 25 worked around the clock in snow removal efforts. Top priorities included clearing and salting crosswalks, bus stops, train station entrances, as well as making sure fire hydrants and Downtown Connection bus shelters were free of snow and ice. Everything possible was done to ensure the safety of constituents in the area.

In addition, our website was updated with the latest info affecting Lower Manhattan as well as the rest of the city. And if you had a particular condition that required assistance, you were able to either e-mail or call our 24-hour Public Safety dispatch desk.

Thank you to all our staff who helped dig out and assist with the clean-up effort!
