Shake Up Your Home Happy Hour With Cocktails By The Dead Rabbit’s Head Bartender

We’re all missing our local watering holes these days. While we’re making the most of our home bars and delivery options, sometimes it’s good to shake things up.

On Thursday, April 23 at 7p, our sister org LMHQ is bringing a multi-year World’s Best Bar winner right into your home (via laptop) for a Mixology Happy Hour. Join the Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog’s Head Bartender Ian Alexander as he walks us through the makings of three concoctions. We’ll learn a couple classic cocktails, as well as one of the Dead Rabbit’s signature drinks.

You’ll also have a chance to get your cocktail questions answered, including learning about substitutions (like what to do if you have rye instead of rum, or bourbon but no bitters). You’ll also receive tips on home bar essentials to help you make the most out of your next local liquor store delivery, and how to improvise when raiding your pantry in search of a new cocktail concoction.

The evening is also for a good cause: Earnings from the $5 tickets will be donated to the Dead Rabbit employee relief fund, as the bar remains closed because of COVID-19 and its 85 employees are currently without work.

Help raise funds to support this local small business, which happens to be a Lower Manhattan legend. Share in their Irish hospitality and join everyone for a drink. RSVP here, and, if you can’t make it to the happy hour, donate directly to the Dead Rabbit GoFundMe page.
