Council Member Christopher Marte to Host Town Hall for Lower Manhattan

Lower Manhattan residents, here’s your chance to learn about what your council member is doing for your community.

District 1 Council Member Christopher Marte is hosting a town hall event on Sunday, June 4, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (36 Battery Pl.). Attendees will have the chance to learn about what Marte’s office is working on, share their thoughts and concerns about the community and learn how to get involved.

Marte has shared that his office plans to hold multiple town halls throughout the district, but the June 4 event at the Museum of Jewish Heritage is specifically designated for residents of Battery Park City and the Financial District. In addition to the two aforementioned neighborhoods, the council member also represents Civic Center, Chinatown, Little Italy, parts of the Lower East Side, NoHo, SoHo, South Street Seaport, South Village, TriBeCa and Washington Square.
