Art On The Ave NYC Seeks Applicants For Fall Lower Manhattan Exhibit

Storefront art exhibits have been gaining traction around Manhattan for good reason: They beautify the streets, expose locals and visitors alike to new artists and promote creators to wider  audiences.

Which is why we’re excited that Art on the Ave NYC, a public-art initiative dedicated to community activation, will host its fall showcase in Lower Manhattan. A core theme of this year’s storefront gallery is “resiliency” — an attribute we can safely say is on the minds of all New Yorkers.

Interested creators are encouraged to apply by July 2. Full details and electronic application are available at Art on the Ave NYC’s website.

And, if you’re hungry for excellent art today, be sure to check out LMCC’s River to River 2021 programming, a huge mosaic by Brooklyn-based artist Rashid Johnson at 200 Liberty and the beloved sculptures and structures that adorn our district.
