Drop Off Your Old Paperbacks at Our June Book Drive

Got a couple of dusty John Grisham books lying around the house? Need to get rid of your old Penguin Classics from your sophomore English Lit class to make room for the newest Sally Rooney? Instead of leaving your erstwhile paperbacks on the curb, bring ‘em to our upcoming book drive, which will be ongoing at ADNY’s visitor information kiosk at the southern entrance of Bowling Green Park throughout the month of June. Books will be going to residents at various housing locations run by the Bowery Residents’ Committee (BRC), with whom we’ve been partnering for over a decade.
For the drive, we will accept paperback books only; we will also only be accepting fiction books (adult and YA books are fine, no children’s books please!). Please note that unlike our last two drives, we will not be accepting DVDs this time, so you’ll have to hang onto that “The O.C.” box set for now. The book drive drop will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more on BRC’s great work with the unhoused community in our district and beyond, visit their website.
