There’s no business on Continental grounds…except for cocktails. Continental Sports Bar, which opened earlier this year, is a “John Wick” fan’s dream, and its location inside the famed Beaver Building is just one highlight. The historic building at 82 Beaver St. is famous for serving as the facade for the Continental, a hotel for assassins that plays a key role in the “John Wick” franchise. Now, the main floor is home to a huge sports bar filled to the brim with good drinks, good fun and, of course, “John Wick” films on the TV.
Enter the bar and you’ll find a massive horseshoe-shaped bar surrounded by big-screen TVs showing sports games (in addition to the aforementioned “Wick” films on loop), and a menu stocked with well-priced pub food classics and speciality cocktails. Happy hour runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays (yes, you read that right), and the bar hosts special viewing events for sports games as well as essential TV appointment viewing, like the “Love Island” reunion and “The Summer I Turned Pretty.”
You can sip like an assassin at the main bar, or find more private tables on the main level and the upstairs balcony; either way, be sure to bring a gold coin or two.
