Da Claudio’s Deliziozi Pasta Dishes Will Warm You Up All Winter Long

It is, as the Italians say, molto freddo outside — but inside Da Claudio (21 Ann St.), you’ll find plenty of delectable pasta dishes and other classic Roman fare to keep you feeling toasty. The gorgeous restaurant, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, offers a menu full of delicacies that’ll stick to your bones (an entirely welcome outcome when the outdoor windspeeds are high enough to knock you over).

Here, you’ll find steamy trattoria staples like buccatini all’amatriciana, orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, tagliolini alla vongole and a creamy spaghetti carbonara that goes down like a warm hug. There’s also a full slate of hearty Italian entrees like braised lamb shank and pollo alla milanese, as well as antipasti and desserts. Plus, nothing keeps you warm quite like a big glass of wine, and you’ll find plenty of options, along with beers and cocktails, on the beverage menus.

In addition to dinner service, Da Claudio is open for lunch, has a great happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and even offers a special after-dinner menu for night owls looking for discounts. Stop by on a frigid evening (or anytime, in any weather!) for a taste of la dolce vita; reservations and more available on Da Claudio’s website.
