These Three Drag Brunches Are Celebrating Pride All Month Long

For the month of Pride in June, you’ve got at least a trio of spots in the neighborhood where you can book a table for a delicious weekend meal and enjoy the kinds of festivities made for and by a queen. Here are three fabulous places to party — and don’t forget to BYO wig.
Toro Loco
At Mexican restaurant Toro Loco (15 Stone St.), the typically chill, south-of-the-border vibe is cranked up on Sundays from noon to 3 p.m. with its “las borrachas” brunch hosted by Frida Cox and Jessica Rose (above). While you’re deciding between the chicken-and-waffle sandwich or an empanada, have the bartender whip up a round of La Mañosas for the table. It’s no secret that we’re fans.
Bar Room at the Beekman
From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. the Bar Room at the Beekman (5 Beekman St.) has launched a cocktail-forward drag brunch, hosted by self-proclaimed “flailing feminista” Adrena Lin and with music by DJ & Drew. The Fire Island iced tea, has been specially concocted for the month’s festivities, and a portion of the drink menu’s sales will be donated to the Trevor Project, a crisis-support organization.
Malibu Farm
The Ali Forney Center, which is dedicated to helping homeless LGBTQ+ youth, has teamed up with the SoCal farm-to-table outfit Malibu Farm (89 South St.) for a “dream queen” brunch. Performers Pixel the Drag Jester, Junior Mintt, Sweaty Eddie, Tiffany Heather Samantha and DJ Ladyboi will turn the beat around while you dive into freshly made organic entrees and a half-dozen raspberry spritzes.
