Fashion Week brings live fashion illustrations to Gild Hall

As New York Fashion Week prepares its descent onto the city, one Lower Manhattan hotel is planning a high-style event of its own.

On Friday, September 6 — NYFW’s opening day — the luxury lifestyle hotel Gild Hall (15 Gold St.) will host Fashion Strokes illustrator/founder Elly Azizian for a two-hour live event from 6p to 8p. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Azizian will engage attendees with personalized fashion illustrations, sketched on the spot, in three- to five-minute sessions.

Azizian’s work is infused with the vintage glamour of old Hollywood and has been commissioned by such fashion houses and brands as Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta and Sotheby’s. The Fashion Strokes event at Gild Hall is free and open to the public.

All guests will leave with their one-of-a-kind keepsake illustrations created on elegant card stock.
