Shopping Sprees and Ocean Breeze Continue at Hester Street Fair

Labor Day weekend was packed at Hester Street Fair, where vendors came supplied with loads of goodies for denizens of the Seaport (89 South St. at Pier 17) — and, in case you missed it, not to worry. There’ll be an encore just next week! 

On Saturday, September 16, the vibrant atmosphere at the fair makes a comeback with a curated bunch of indie shop owners, foodies, DJs and fresh beverages — honestly, a terrific way to burn a weekend afternoon. More dates are slated for October and November, too. 

Hester Street Fair found its second life at the Seaport in 2021, after a local co-op board did not renew its lease on the Lower East Side where it was held seasonally since 2010. The festivities have since continued with the addition of some cooling winds from the East River, where locals gather to procure sweets, treats and artisanal merch soundtracked to all-day live DJs spinning vinyl — each year, a smooth entry into fall.
