Book a Downtown Staycation for Less at These Nine Hotels During NYC Hotel Week

Here’s an idea to help you break out of the winter doldrums with a staycation or make date night extra special: Book a room at one of these Lower Manhattan hotels participating in NYC Hotel Week. During NYC Hotel Week — which began January 2 and runs until February 9 — several hotels throughout the city are offering rooms at a 25% discount.

Here are nine local hotels that are participating this year.

Mint House at 70 Pine

Mint House at 70 Pine (70 Pine St.) is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and then some. Guest suites have kitchenettes or full kitchens, record players with curated vinyl selections, smart TVs and comfortable furniture. Venture out of your room and you’ll find golf simulators, a bowling alley, a multi-level fitness center, a gourmet grocery, a coffee shop and even multiple Michelin-starred restaurants. Did we mention there’s also laundromat services and pre-stay grocery stocking? We wouldn’t blame you if you decided to move in full-time. Book your room here

New York Marriott Downtown

Grab a room at the New York Marriott Downtown (85 West St.). The sophisticated, relaxing decor and central location make it ideal for a staycation. Start the day with a relaxed cup of coffee in your room (or at the Starbucks downstairs) before heading out for the day. Within roughly a 10-minute walk, you have the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, One World Trade Center, Mercer Labs and Castle Clinton National Monument (where you can catch a ferry to the Statue of Liberty). When it’s time to wind down, grab a burger and fries at Bill’s Bar and Burger, conveniently located inside your hotel. Book your stay here.

Conrad New York Downtown

At the Conrad New York Downtown (102 North End Ave.), every room is a suite. You can truly spread out and take in the gorgeous views of the Hudson River while you lounge in bed. When it’s time to grab some food, head to Atrio Wine Bar & Restaurant, located on the second floor of the hotel’s lofty 15-story lobby. Enjoy a seasonal cocktail alongside cozy classics like cider glazed salmon and roasted chicken. Book your room here

Moxy NYC Downtown

If the concept of “work hard, play hard” were a hotel, it’d be the Moxy NYC Downtown (26 Ann St.). With more than 5,000 feet of coworking and bar space, it’s ideal for hunkering down and getting through that stack of work (with a beer or two to help things along, obviously). When you log off, you’ve got plenty to explore like a half-court basketball court, a retro arcade with games like Skee-Ball and Ms. Pac-Man, and Recreation, the onsite bar with stylish, colorful decor and a great happy hour. Book your stay here.

33 Hotel, New York City Seaport

If the dark days of winter have you down, come to 33 Hotel, New York City Seaport (33 Peck Slip), where the rooms are spacious and airy, allowing in plenty of natural light. Depending on which room you book, you’ll also be able to enjoy views of Front Street, Peck Slip or even the Brooklyn Bridge. From here, you’re very close to attractions like the South Street Seaport Museum and the Tin Building, along with plenty of top-notch dining options. Book your room here.

Millennium Downtown New York

Millennium Downtown New York (55 Church St.) is undeniably elegant. Sweeping views of the city from the floor-to-ceiling windows in each room are certainly the star, but you’ll also enjoy the thoughtfully designed furniture, crisp white linens and chic lobby bar. Not to mention, this is the spot to be if you have plans during your stay: It’s within one block of 12 subway lines as well as the PATH train. Book your stay here

Holiday Inn Express New York City — Wall Street

This centrally located hotel is perfect for a staycation. The Holiday Inn Express New York City — Wall Street (126 Water St.) is streamlined and comfortable, with perks like free breakfast and a fitness center onsite. It’s also affordable, with rooms from $125 as part of the Hotel Week promotion. Book your room here

The Frederick Hotel

Rooms at the Frederick Hotel (95 West Broadway) have an eclectic yet calming feel, with oversized windows, velvet and leather accents, and sumptuous bedding. It combines midcentury modern elements with Art Nouveau and minimalist features for a hotel that’s interesting without being over-the-top. It’s located just outside the district in Tribeca and offers unique activities like free walking tours, complimentary wine hours and a half-off happy hour at Primo’s, the onsite lounge. Hotel Indigo NYC Financial District

Good news: Your pup can join you for your stay at the Hotel Indigo NYC Financial District (50 Trinity Pl.). In addition to being pet-friendly, the hotel also has incredible views of Trinity Church and art that nods to the area’s Dutch history. It’s also very centrally located, with particularly easy access to One World Observatory and the New York Stock Exchange. Book your stay here.
