Bring Your Kids to the Seaport for a Free, Family-Friendly Summer Bash

School’s been out for months and you’ve got to get the kids out of the house, lest “Cocomelon” finally drives you to the brink. Thankfully, the folks at the Seaport have you covered: they’re throwing a Seaport Kids x Summer Bash at the Seaport (89 South St.) on Saturday, August 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Seaport has partnered with Mommy Poppins and Brooklyn Bridge Parents to provide Lower Manhattan young ones with two hours of unleashed creativity and interactive fun. The free summer soiree includes summer crafts, balloon twisting and a LEGO table, just to name a few highlights. You and your little ones can also catch a basketball performance by three-time Guinness record holder Jack Ryan at 11:15 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Note that there will be water sprinklers, so be sure to bring bathing suits. The event is for kids ages 10 and under; reserve your free tickets here.
