Downtown’s Top Restaurants Head to the Waterfront for Taste of the Seaport
‘Tis the season for tasty food festivals: Tickets are now on sale for the annual Taste of the Seaport. On Saturday, September 21, several of Lower Manhattan’s finest kitchens will head to piers 16 and 17 to serve up bite-size portions of their most popular dishes. Expect miniature delicacies from the likes of Delmonico’s, Carne Mare, the Fulton, the Tin Building and Crown Shy. If you’re bringing the little ones, stop by the KidZone for free family-friendly activities; there’ll also be giveaway opportunities and a new VIP bar area.
There’s no cost for entry. All you have to do is buy “taste” tickets online or upon arrival to score eats and drinks. Sponsored by Seaport Entertainment Group and the Seaport Museum, Taste of the Seaport runs from noon to 5 p.m. All funds support programs at two local public schools, PS 397 Spruce Street School and PS 343 Peck Slip School.
