Eat and Drink Outdoors at These Breezy Summer Spots
If you’re one of the many New Yorkers who come alive in the summertime, Lower Manhattan is a great place to be for al fresco dining and drinks. We’re lucky to have many places where you can soak up every last minute of scenic downtown daylight, but here are five places (and one important bonus location!) you might want to begin. For more on outdoor dining in Lower Manhattan, check out our Patio Fever series here.
Fresh Salt (146 Beekman St.)
With daily happy hour specials, wide sidewalks and a plethora of outdoor seating near the East River, Fresh Salt is the perfect place to relax with a group of friends in the fresh (salty) air.
TAQ (81 Warren St.)
Tacos and margaritas outside TAQ on a warm summer night followed by a stroll at Battery Park City Esplanade? Sounds like our idea of a perfect date.
Cowgirl SeaHorse (259 Front St.)
This Seaport standby has a big, tasty menu of Tex-Mex lunch, dinner and weekend brunch favorites that somehow taste even better with a cold drink in your hand and sunglasses on.
Sixpoint Brewery at Brookfield Place (200 Liberty St.)
For those who live or work on the west side of Lower Manhattan, this Brooklyn brewery’s downtown location has outdoor seating that makes it just the spot to unwind with your pals after (or perhaps during) a long day. Plus, all-day happy hour specials on weekends make this a great summer hang out spot.
Jeremy’s Ale House (228 Front St.)
A classic New York dive where you can order a sandwich and a 32 ounce beer at the bar and enjoy it outside…what’s not to love?

Bonus: Stone Street
You can always drink and dine outside at the establishments on Stone Street, a street-seating haven with several of the neighborhood’s busiest spots like Havana Social, Route 66 Smokehouse, Mad Dog & Beans, Stone Street Tavern and more!
