Whole Foods Opens at 1 Wall Street Next Week
Fans of elaborate lunchtime hot bars and aesthetically-pleasing produce aisles, rejoice: at long, long last, the much-anticipated Whole Foods is set to open at 1 Wall Street next week. Get those reusable grocery bags ready, because it’s time to stock up on some goodies!
Starting Wednesday, January 11, at 8 a.m., Lower Manhattanites will be able to procure an assortment of more than 1,000 local items — with everything including Whole Foods brand items, produce from more than 20 nearby farms, a meat counter, a stocked bakery, a specialty cheese and pasta department, and a full-service seafood counter with offerings from West Robins Oyster Company and Acme Smoked Fish, to name a few.
Also on hand: an extensive selection of craft brews from the likes of Threes Brewing and Grimm Artisanal Ales, a Whole Body section with wellness products from more than 100 local vendors, and, more importantly, a prepared foods section with a dining area and full-service coffee bar.
Expect more Whole Foods-related news to come, but for now, slap January 11 on your calendar and come hungry.
