Downtown Alliance Offers Neighborly Support With Tribeca Graffiti Cleanup

In a show of neighborly support, the Downtown Alliance’s Operations and Sanitation team is helping out local Tribeca businesses by removing building graffiti on a four-block stretch located just north of the downtown business district.

A local community leader reached out to the Alliance to ask for assistance with some trash and graffiti issues on Church Street and West Broadway from Chambers to Duane Streets. In what the Operations team assessed would be a two-week project, Alliance Sanitation workers are removing graffiti from light poles, storefront roll down gates and mailboxes.

“Just as the Alliance works to keep Lower Manhattan clean, safe and healthy, we’re happy to help neighboring communities and businesses keep their streets clean and inviting when we can,” said Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin.

The team expects to be finished with the project this week.
