Lunch Box Food Fair Returns to Fosun Plaza on October 7

On Wednesday, October 7, the Alliance for Downtown New York, the nonprofit business improvement district for Lower Manhattan, will host the fifth annual Lunch Box: a pop-up food fair at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
A staple of Lower Manhattan’s vibrant culinary scene, the open-air food fair returns to Fosun Plaza to welcome thousands of food lovers. This year’s event highlights some of the neighborhood’s newest dining destinations, each serving up a curated $10 boxed lunch featuring a choice of protein and two sides. Drinks will be available for purchase. Admission is free, and the event will take place rain or shine.
“Lunch Box is the best way to sample Lower Manhattan’s newest culinary talent,” Downtown Alliance president Jessica Lappin said. “Join us on Fosun Plaza or grab a box to go; either way, you’re supporting local restaurants and hopefully finding your next go-to spot.”
“Lunch Box demonstrates how Fosun Plaza has been positioned to bring the Lower Manhattan community together through food and shared experiences,” chairman of Four Trees Capital Management Wei Bo said. “We are pleased to once again welcome local restaurants, workers, residents and visitors to 28 Liberty for an event that showcases the energy and diversity of the neighborhood.”
As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box will be a zero-waste event. Composting and recycling stations will be located throughout the plaza.
