Lunch Box Returns to Fosun Plaza on October 7
September 24, 2025
On Tuesday, October 7, the Alliance for Downtown New York, the nonprofit business improvement district for Lower Manhattan, will host the fourth annual Lunch Box: a pop-up food fair at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The open-air festival, which has established itself as a new Lower Manhattan culinary tradition, will draw thousands of attendees to Fosun Plaza. As in years past, the event features 10 local restaurants, all of which have recently opened in Lower Manhattan. Each will offer a $10 boxed lunch that includes one main dish (a protein) and two sides. Drinks are also available for an additional cost. Public admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.
“Ten new restaurants with $10 lunchtime treats. Lunch Box is a great way to support local restaurants and try something new,” Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin said. “Come hang out with us on Fosun Plaza, or drop by to grab some boxes to bring back to your office colleagues!”
“Lunch Box is an exciting celebration of the creative flavors of Lower Manhattan. We are proud to position 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza as a place where food and culture meet, and where the community can come together to share special events,” Wei Bo, Fosun Global Partner and Chairman of Four Trees Capital Management, said.
As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box will be a zero-waste event. Composting and recycling stations will be located throughout the plaza.
2025 Lunch Box participants include:
