Lunch Box Pop-Up Food Fair Returns on October 10 at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza

On Tuesday, October 10, the Alliance for Downtown New York, the nonprofit business improvement district for Lower Manhattan, will host the second annual Lunch Box: a pop-up food fair from the team behind Dine Around Downtown, at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The open-air festival will feature 10 local restaurants, many of which have recently opened in Lower Manhattan. Each will offer a $10 boxed lunch that includes one main dish and two sides. Public admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.

“Come hungry and plan to try a couple different boxes, because this year’s event has something for everyone and highlights the diversity of culinary options found downtown,” said Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin. “Lunch Box provides our community with a great opportunity to get to know some of the neighborhood’s newest restaurants at an affordable value.”

“Lunchbox is a celebration of Lower Manhattan’s culinary offerings and a favorite of area workers, residents and visitors,” said Thomas Costanzo, global partner of Fosun and CEO of Four Trees Asset Management. “We are pleased to welcome the community to Fosun Plaza with another exciting cultural event in partnership with the Alliance.”

As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box will be a zero-waste event. Composting and recycling stations will be located throughout the plaza.
