Verizon to Continue Support for LMHQ’s Monthly Women’s Breakfast Program

The LMHQ Women’s Breakfast series, a monthly professional networking event for women and their allies, will continue to receive support from Verizon as its official sponsor. LMHQ, the local nonprofit community and collaborative workspace at 150 Broadway, created the Women’s Breakfast series in 2015 to empower attendees to take charge of their career growth. To date, the series has hosted over 3,500 attendees and covered topics ranging from individual career transitions and salary negotiation to DEI initiatives and VC funding for women-led startups.

“The LMHQ Women’s Breakfast was conceived at a time when there weren’t many places for professional women to do business in NYC, and we wanted to offer a safe space and support system that could give them an edge in their careers,” said LMHQ Director Daria Siegel. “Since we started hosting these events, nearly every one has sold out and, now more than ever, we see the need to continue to hold space for the difficult decisions many women are facing in their post-pandemic career paths.”

While LMHQ’s doors were closed to limit the spread of COVID-19, the Women’s Breakfast transitioned to a free model and brought events and workshops directly into participants’ homes, thanks to the support from Verizon. LMHQ, with the support of Verizon, will welcome the Women’s Breakfast community back into their physical space for a year-end celebration on December 13 with women-owned, Lower Manhattan-based company Funny Face Bakery.
