Light it Up!

Starting on December 2, Lower Manhattan’s Brookfield Place will illuminate the Winter Garden with a dazzling new holiday light installation. Over 650 color-changing lanterns with LED lights will form a glowing canopy above the iconic palm trees.

Visitors are encouraged to touch one of the nearby “wishing stations” — each wish is transformed into a spell-binding display of flashing lights. For each wish made, Brookfield will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to the GRAMMY Foundation to support its music education programs for high school students.

Light shows are also scheduled throughout the day from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M.  The five shows are entitled “Snowfall,” “Christmas Tree,” “Ribbons,” “Firecracker,” and “Northern Lights.” The exhibit ends on January 10, 2016.

This radiant piece of art designed by the award-winning Rockwell Group is meant to symbolize sharing, community and connection during the holiday season.

Stop by to light up your holiday wish. The best part: it’s free!
