Artists Get One-Of-A-Kind Opportunity With Silver Art Projects Residency

This week, Explorer In Chief Josh Katz dropped by the 28th floor of 4 World Trade Center to meet the 25 artists-in-residence at Silver Art Projects.

The artists receive up to 10 months of sponsored studio space at Silver Art Projects to amplify their careers. Some of these artists have already benefited, such as Rachelle Bussieres and her recent lumen prints

Silver Art Projects are accepting artists for the 2021 cohort. NYC-based artists interested in participating are encouraged to apply  — the deadline is May 16 — especially those who have a focus on incorporating themes of social justice and activism within their work. The artists receive a stipend, up to 10 months studio space and time with mentors-in-residence such as visionaries For Freedoms, Tourmaline and Chella Man.

The selection committee will choose 25 creatives for the opportunity beginning this summer.
