Edward is a new play, written and performed by Ed Schmidt. Edward O’Connell died 12 years ago, at the age of 73. He left behind a box containing 27 objects. Each object tells a story. Audience members choose the order in which the stories are told, and, each night, Edward’s life is reconstructed anew. Edward will be performed at bookstores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, from January 22 to March 1. The schedule is at edschmidttheater.com/tickets. Edward arrives in New York after 16 sold-out performances at private homes in Los Angeles. Before its LA engagement, Edward played 40 sold-out shows in apartments and galleries across New York City.
