Did you know that Central Park and Prospect Park were designed? Trees, land, and lakes were all part of a plan. Explore the story of America’s first and most influential park designer, Frederick Law Olmsted. In this family program, we’ll read Parks for the People by children’s author Elizabeth Partridge to see how Olmsted created peaceful and inclusive nature spaces. After story time, young park planners will design their own ideal public park in celebration of International Day of Friendship!
