Celebrate National Poetry Month at McNally Jackson Seaport. Kids can discover the poetic possibilities hidden inside “Poetry Eggs,” colorful eggs filled with words for creating their own poems. Words considered lost to poetry–newspaper headlines, menus, packaging–can be repurposed and found for poetry. We’ll read exciting and humorous poems together, then kids can open their eggs, assemble an array of discovered words, and fashion original poetry of their own. Great for kids 4 to 10, but all ages are welcome.
