Once “King of Broadway,” Max Bialystock’s talent has dried up. But when Leo Bloom, his accountant, is auditing his latest flop, Max learns that it’s possible to make more money from producing flops than hits. So they set out to create the worst musical they can: Springtime for Hitler: A Gay Romp with Adolf and Eva at Berchtesgaden. The Producers (90 minutes, English, no subtitles) is a classic 1967 comedy film written and directed by Mel Brooks and starring Zero Mostel, Gene Wilder, Dick Shawn, and Kenneth Mars. Brooks’ directorial debut, the film won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
