Four Lower Manhattan Businesses Win ‘Love Your Local’ Grants

Four Lower Manhattan restaurants won big in the City’s Love Your Local program’s inaugural competition. The NYC Department of Small Business Services announced the program last year. The grant program awards 20 local businesses one-on-one consultations from experts and up to $90,000 to implement their recommendations. The Lower Manhattan winners are Acqua, Cowgirl Seahorse, Da Claudio and Suteishi.

Acqua
Nestled in the South Street Seaport, Acqua is known for Chef Giuseppe’s hand made pasta and its extensive raw bar. This Italian restaurant is the perfect spot to sip on premium wines and to get a taste of the Southern Italian Coast.

Cowgirl Seahorse
With live music every Monday Night and and trivia nights on Wednesdays, Cowgirl Seahorse is the place to be for amazing specials and fun happenings. Get the taste of the south with Tex-Mex and Barbeque for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends from 10 am to 4 pm.

Da Claudio
This Ann Street gem is an Italian spot that is not to be missed. Owned by Claudio and Linda Marini, the couple is dedicated to providing a spectacular dining with local ingredients that ensure the menu is stocked with delicious dishes..

Suteishi
One of the best sushi places in Lower Manhattan is Suteishi. With a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge and excellent service, you are sure to enjoy your experience whether you order a noodle dish or are savoring their sushi bar specialties.
