Banh Mi Sandwich Faceoff: Vietspot vs. Henry’s

Lower Manhattan is a land rich with delicious sandwiches. Bagels, baguettes, grilled cheeses, pub grub, Italian heroes — you name it, we’ve got it. In fact, downtown has been blessed with not one, but two banh mi operations: Henry’s Sandwich (88 Fulton St.) and Vietspot (99 Nassau St.). Both of these shops offer tasty takes on the Vietnamese staple, and each reigns over separate hyperlocal territories when it comes to the lunch rush. Still, we couldn’t help but wonder . . . how do the two compare?

As part of our ongoing scientific inquiry into all of Lower Manhattan’s dining and drinking options, we popped open these babies to see what’s under the bun. And while the sammies are ultimately equal in quality, they each bring their own distinct flavors to the table. Take a look at the graphic and then place your orders.
