Mark the Signing of the Constitution at a Special U.S. Courthouse Event

Calling all history lovers! Constitution Day is September 17, and there’s no better place to celebrate the pivotal 1783 signing of the United States Constitution than in one of the nation’s birthplaces. To mark the occasion, the Lower Manhattan Historical Association is teaming up with cultureNOW and the United States District Court for the District of New York for an event complete with a speakers and even a rare copy of the Constitution on display. 

Taking place in the Ceremonial Courtroom at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event features the following speakers:

  • Professor Kevin Arlyck, Georgetown Law
  • Honorable Judge P. Kevin Castel, United States Southern District Court
  • Seth Kaller, Historical Documents & Legacy Collections
  • James von Klemperer, FAIA, President Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates
