Daisy Duke’s Honky Tonk Brings Nashville Vibes to Stone Street
For a winter trip down south, giddy up to Daisy Duke’s Honky Tonk NYC (47 Stone St.), which — as far as we know — is the only bar in Lower Manhattan with a life-sized horse statue.
The large, two-story honky tonk-themed Stone Street newcomer has live country music, a disco ball and kitschy western decor like lassos, spurs and animal heads on the walls for all the makings of a cowboy’s paradise downtown. The lights are low, the drinks are strong and the menu is full of comfort-food favorites like a bucket of fried chicken, burgers and sliders. Several TVs behind the bar show sports while old-timey country western tunes play over the speakers, which is to say, the vibes are right for enjoying a Duke’s Old Fashioned (made of Jefferson’s bourbon, maple allspice liqueur and Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, theatrically served in a smoke-filled dome) or Daisy the Pony, a vodka and lychee liquor drink. But the party doesn’t stop there: According to the bar’s website, live-band karaoke is also coming soon.
Check out the bar’s website for more programming, specials and event information.
