All the Downtown Dogs We’ve Featured So Far

One of the best aspects of life in the city—or life in general—is dog-watching. And the good news if you’re stuck at a computer all day is that we’re bringing dog-sighting to you! Our Downtown Dog series highlights some of the cutest, sweetest and sassiest pups in Lower Manhattan. Here are the 10 we’ve featured so far:

1. Penny

Our inaugural Downtown Dog is the Andaz Wall Street’s own Penny. The one-year-old hotel ambassador spends her days sitting by the window and watching her kingdom.

2. Samson

Two-and-a-half-year-old Samson is the stunning Shepkita of Assembly Member Yuh-Line Niou! This sentimental cutie has been playing with the same squeaky raccoon since he was born.

3. Dior and Obi

The 10- and three-year-old Malteses are polar opposites. Dior is the perfect child everybody loves; Obi is the problem child that few can resist.

4. Papi

This blue-eyed baby is proof that good things come in small packages. Seven-month-old Papi fittingly loves to play in kiddie pools.

5. Lucy

Considering getting a perm? One look at Lucy’s locks will have you booking your appointment. This 15-month-old labradoodle can be spotted walking along the waterfront at the Seaport.

6. Baxter

Don’t judge Baxter’s book by his cover—this pint-sized prince has personality for days. The nine-year-old loves Star Wars, Battery Park City and is inarguably one of the most adorb dachshunds prancing around Lower Manhattan.

7. Daisy

This one-and-a-half-year-old beagle may be a barker, but who can resist that face? Daisy loves walking to Pier 17, chasing squirrels at Battery Park City and meeting up with her friends.

That’s so FETCH – Happy #meangirlsday with the sweetest of Downtown Dogs, @Daisy_the_beag 🌼🐶⁣ ⁣ 🐾 Age: 1.5 years⁣ ⁣ 🐾 Breed: Beagle-Blue Heeler mix⁣ ⁣ 🐾 Fave toy: A soft squeaky ball ⁣ ⁣ 🐾 Fave LM walk: I love walking to seaport (@Pier17 specifically) every day to watch other dogs and humans going about their business and get very happy when I see my friends show up. Sometimes if I’m feeling adventurous, I will drag my parents to @bpcparks to sniff out squirrels on the lawns. ⁣ ⁣ 🐾 Floofy fact: When my parents adopted me, the humans at the shelter said I didn’t bark. Boy were they wrong! 🤣📢⁣ ⁣ Dog parents! Send your story or tag us in your dog’s best Lower Manhattan post for a chance to be featured next. 🐕

8. Leia

This Sagittarius sweetie is turning five in December and loves to play in the snow. Her favorite place to run around is on the docks at the Seaport.

9. Gustavo

A dashing Mini Goldendoodle with a penchant for walking along the cobblestones at the Seaport, eight-month-old Gustavo also enjoys eating his mom’s socks. His mischievousness was inevitable (he’s named after Gustavo from Breaking Bad)!

10. Fiesta

Our 10th Downtown Dog just celebrated her 10th birthday on October 21! This lovely Libra is a Tibetan Terrier and a dog toy thief—but her dad always returns her neighbors’ stolen toys!

11. Whiski

Whiski’s mom drags this Frenchie on an hour-long walk almost every day — beginning at the NYSE and ending up inside Brookfield!
