The Results Are in: Presenting “Downtown Alliance Wrapped 2023”

You may have had the same thought we did when we saw Spotify Wrapped grace everyone’s social media feeds: “How is it almost 2024 already?” Nevertheless, time ticks on. And so too do the ways to measure a year (via data mining).

In 2023, the Alliance embarked on countless initiatives to make our beloved streets of Lower Manhattan a better place. That’s right — we’re talking trash.  We collected 244 tons of recycling, 788 tons of litter and 46,418 pounds of organic waste via our composting program.

We also brought the community together by hosting 11 events this year, including our popular Dine Around Downtown community food festival,  the Lunch Box pop-up food fair and LM Live installations like our New York on Film series. And, as the premier destination for neighborhood happenings, we dutifully chronicled it all on our website with 265 blogs.
