Fresh Air & Free Films

These three words should snag anyone’s attention:  Free outdoor movies!

At the South Street Seaport this summer, you can grab a comfy lounge chair, enjoy an East River evening breeze and watch one of your favorites flicks. Organized as part of the Howard Hughes Corporation’s SEE/CHANGE summer programming series, “Front Row Cinema” offers free outdoor movie screenings for every age and sensibility, from now through Labor Day Weekend.  You can find family-friendly films on Wednesday nights — coming up are “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (August 13), “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” (August 20) and — wait for it — “Frozen” (August 27).

Saturday nights are for adults. Coming up: “Four Weddings and a Funeral” (August 9), “Pitch Perfect” (August 16) and “The Aviator” (August 23).” The screenings continue on Labor Day Weekend. Reel in a rom com with “Crazy, Stupid, Love” on Saturday, August 30. On Sunday, August 31, get your Bond fix with “Sky Fall”.

The screenings start at 8 P.M. at the intersection of Front and Fulton Streets. To find out more, visit www.seechangeny.com/events.
