Get a Taste of Spain at Stone Street’s Tapas Spot Gran Via

You don’t need to purchase a cross-Atlantic plane ticket for a European vacation this summer travel season, thanks to newcomer Gran Via. This pub-style tapas spot, now open at 57 Stone Street, serves up Spanish small plates along with a selection of Spanish wines, beers and cocktails.

Menu items include classic tapas dishes like patatas bravas, artichokes a la plancha, chorizo with cider, gambas al ajillo (fresh shrimp with garlic and pimenton), pulpo de roca (Galician octopus served with olives, garlic and pimenton) and smoked mussels. You can also score delicacies like anchodina (sardine toast); bocadillos made with jamon, chorizo and manchego; and pinco bistecca, a New York strip steak served with salsa verde and toast.

Cocktails include the Agua de Valencia, made with gin, Kas Orange and cava; and the Rebulito, made with dry sherry, Kas Lemon and mint. They’ve also got a hefty wine and beer list, with many imported Spanish options available.
