Head To Westville For An Eggceptional Brunch

By: Sophie Burton

Finding a healthy and casual brunch spot can sometimes prove challenging. Cue Westville Wall Street, the latest location of New York’s original veggie centric restaurant. Situated beneath WeWork at 110 Wall St. and just around the corner from the East River and South St. Seaport, we’ve recently discovered our new destination for fresh and seasonal weekend brunch.

When seeking out brunch, Westville checks every box with dishes are both affordable and healthy. The brunch menu boasts a wide range of options that span mac and cheese to veggie options, and is guaranteed to satisfy everyone (kids, Grandma, and your vegan friend included).  Savory and sweet highlights include Soy Milk Yogurt with Homemade Granola, melon, and berries, Poached Eggs Over Kale Salad, and Baked Challah French Toast.

Westville’s Wall St. location provides an open and airy space for daytime dining with floor to ceiling windows. The spacious dining room is filled with modern birchwood tables and white benches that provide ample seating to alleviate your fear of NYC’s two hour brunch wait.  For your bloody Mary and mimosa needs, a full service bar spans nearly the length of the restaurant.

For our most recent brunch experience, we arrived around 11:30AM on a Saturday morning. Met by a bustling dining room and accommodating waitstaff, we ordered hot chai almond milk lattes, freshly squeezed OJ, and the highly recommended avocado toast– a stand out due to the quality of ingredients. The toast features two sunny-side up eggs over fresh mashed avocado with an arugula cherry tomato salad and a light sriracha drizzle.

Brunch is served from 10am to 4pm on weekends. In addition to the more breakfast-y items, all salads, burgers, hot dogs are available at brunch. Takeout and delivery options are also available online and by phone.
