Celebrate Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, Love and Spring, for Free at the Seaport

Holi, an annual Hindu festival marking the arrival of spring, is fast approaching, and the Seaport is gearing up for a colorful celebration. On March 15, the Seaport is teaming up with the Culture Tree and the South Street Seaport Museum to throw a free Holi event, complete with interactive dance performances and workshops, a literary festival, music and art and, crucially, the traditional brightly colored powder to toss at your fellow attendees. When you’re done basking in the multi-hued glow, you can sample traditional Indian fare and shop at Pier 16’s outdoor Indian market, where nearly a dozen Indian owned-businesses will display their wares.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free with RSVP, with colors available for purchase from Kulture Khazana. Be sure to wear an all-white outfit to make the most of the experience! RSVP here
