These Lower Manhattan Itineraries Will Help You Plan the Perfect Downtown Trip

There’s so much to see and do in Lower Manhattan. To help you plan your visit, we’ve come up with some sample itineraries to fit a slew of time constraints to make sure you don’t miss all the neighborhood has to offer.

Lower Manhattan is a bridge to our nation’s history and a gateway to New York City’s future. Amazing things are happening here, whether you’re a first-time visitor or have lived in this city for decades. If you only have one day to spend downtown, we’ve got a jam-packed itinerary for you here. A two-day trip (itinerary here), will give you a chance to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, plus you’ll be able to seek out some favorite haunts for locals. We also have itineraries for folks who want to spend time on the water, dig into some historical highlights and scope some public art, just to name a few.

You can find more ideas and tips for your trip, as well as a comprehensive list of downtown walking tours, on our website. And no matter your plans, be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes — there’s a lot of ground to cover downtown!
