LM’s First InstaMeet Reveals Top Pics & Tips

Instameet 2

A few weeks ago, I recently had the pleasure of attending Lower Manhattan’s first InstaMeet. Some of NY’s best Instagrammers gathered to explore the top locations across the district, many of which are generally inaccessible to the public.

Locations included LMHQ, 200 Liberty, Conrad Hotel (rooftop garden!), One World Observatory, Woolworth Building, Collector’s Office, Delmonico’s, NYSE, Pier A & Le District (private happy hour!).

The best part? Sharing tricks of the trade with other Instagrammers. If you weren’t there, not to worry! We are sharing our top editing apps with you to make your social media photos shine.

Top apps for editing on your phone include Snapseed, Instagram, Afterlight, TouchRetouch, VSCO Cam and Camera Plus.

Secrets to Instagram success included the following suggestions:

“It’s very important to have a voice and have fun. Also, don’t forget to keep trying different things!”

“If you want to develop a large Instagram following, it is critical to maintain engagement with your audience. Also, try to make it personal!”

“Be active, stay consistent, and hang out with other photographers who you can constantly learn from.”

“Focus on the metrics. See what posts retain the highest amount of followers vs. what posts receive the highest unfollow count. After you have looked at the analytics, adapt your strategy according to what your audience likes and wants!”

We hope these suggestions come in handy as you snap & share.
