Thank you to everyone who helped make this week’s Lunch Box a success! Over 5,000 attendees came out to 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza on Tuesday, October 7 to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and delicious meals from some of Lower Manhattan’s newest restaurants. Whether your business participated or you simply showed up to try some tasty food, we appreciate you.
This year’s Lunch Box was the fourth (!!) annual pop-up food fair presented by the Alliance’s Dine Around Downtown team, and the most popular one yet. 10 local restaurants participated this year — Āne Restaurant & Bar, Fogo de Chão, Friedmans, Lucky Tiger, Otani, Palm Street, Patsy’s Pizzeria, Power Bowls, Quick Eternity and Seamore’s Lobster Shack — each offering a $10 boxed lunch with one entree and two sides. The event gave attendees the opportunity to sample discounted dishes from these newer spots in the neighborhood, introducing new businesses to locals, visitors and workers alike. Hopefully a few of you found some new favorites!
