Online, online, online! That’s the buzz when it comes to small businesses getting more people into their stores and restaurants. That’s why the Downtown Alliance created the Downtown Digital Innovation Grant. The grant offers $10,000 in services to a local, storefront business who wants to develop their online presence and pairs them with an expert to help fulfill their digital needs.

The winner of the 2018 Downtown Digital Innovation Grant is Martin Busch Jewelers. Located at 85 John Street, Martin Busch has been around Lower Manhattan for over 50 years. The business created by Martin Busch, the co-owner’s great uncle, began as a small booth downtown and over the years has evolved into a full-fledged storefront business.

This now women-run business loves jewelry, not only for how beautiful it looks, but for all of the moments in life that are celebrated with it. From engagements to anniversaries to birthdays, Martin Busch Jewelers has a passion for bringing people together to celebrate those once in a lifetime moments.

With this grant, they will be expanding their social media presence, cataloging all of their one-of-a-kind pieces onto their website and selling through an online shopping cart for the first time in the store’s history. Eva Busch, co-owner and great niece of Martin Busch, applied for this grant when she realized that the online market was a way for them to keep their business successful and make sure their loyal customers keep coming back.

Be sure to check out their soon-to-be-revamped website for your future bauble needs!
