Mezcali Brings Southern Californian-Mexican Fare to Lower Manhattan

There’s no end to the tasty dining options in Lower Manhattan, and now we can add one more delectable spot to our list — Mezcali, a new Cali-Mex eatery that recently opened at 83 Maiden Lane.

The new spot is the “brainchild of two best friends from Southern California who grew up skateboarding and satisfying their afternoon hunger pangs with Cali-Mex food,” according to its website, and the menu features a mix of classic burritos, tacos and quesadillas.

An extensive cocktail list includes enticing options like the frozen Palabra Finale, made with mezcal, green chartreuse, Luxardo Marashino liqueur and lime; and the Ancestral Old Fashioned, made with Abosolo Mexican Whiskey, Nixta Liquor de Elote, Piloncillo and mole. There’s a wine and beer list as well.

Peruse their menu here and keep an eye out for future events. You can make a reservation online.
